Dracaena reflexa or Song of India is a good rewarding plant for a beginner as it is easy to nurture, slow growing, eye catching, adaptable to low lighting conditions and most importantly infrequent watering. It was discovered in 1786 by French naturalist Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and derives it’s name “Song of India” as it’s native to the islands of the Indian ocean. A plant which can grow upto 20ft in the wilderness adapts accordingly when indoors reaching anywhere between 3ft to 6ft.
